DISNEY CRUISES FROM VANCOUVER TO ALASKA IN SUMMER 2011

Disney Cruise Line has announced it will offer Alaskan cruises in 2011 – a first for the company that is known for family-oriented cruises that bring the magic of Disney to the seas.

The "Disney Wonder" will depart Vancouver for a total of 18, seven-night cruises to Alaska during the 2011 summer season (May to September), calling on popular ports such as Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway. Disney’s Alaskan cruises start at $939 per person (plus taxes) for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

On their Alaskan adventure, guests of Disney may catch a glimpse of a brown bear, bald eagle or humpback whale, and explore magnificent glaciers and fjords. Guests can traverse panoramic landscapes by railway, pan for gold like miners from the famous Klondike gold rush, fish for some of the largest salmon in the world, and learn about local culture through hand-carved totem poles.

In preparation for the new Alaska sailings, a brand new glass-enclosed café was added to deck 10 of the Disney Wonder. The stylish 2,500-square-foot "Outlook Café" has floor-to-ceiling windows providing picture-perfect views of the surrounding landscapes.
